On October 12, 2006, the Strand Theatre of Shelbyville, Inc. formally took possession of the historic STRAND THEATRE.    Mainstreet Shelbyville, Inc. transfered ownership to this new not-for-profit at a press conference held in City Hall.     

The Strand Theatre of Shelbyville, Inc. is headed by David M. Finkel, Steven R. Frazee and Chris Nolley.   This organization has as its sole mission the renovation and operation of this historic theatre.
