ShelbyIdol 2009 arrived at the Strand for their first semi-final round on June 27, 2009.   28 contestants performed on the stage.   The theatre had a capacity crowd for the event.   Results can be seen on the Energy2Action, LLC web site:  www.energy2action.com

The Strand’s Air Conditioning system, installed in the 1950’s did a fine job on the 92° day.   That plus 300+ people certainly pushed the system to its limits, however everyone remained cool.
