On February 7, 2010 Strand volunteer; “Divas” director; Show producer; and all around great person Cindy Houpt made her final performance on the Strand stage.  Cindy performed with the cast of Nunsense in the inaugural show when the Strand re-opened in January 2008.  Since then, she has performed multiple times and  produced some of the most memorable entertainment to play the Strand.

Her family is relocating back to Ohio, the place she calls home.  Shelby County was forunate to have Cindy for these past few years.   We wish her the best.  Every time you walk in the Strand, it exists because of Cindy.   When we first started, she was always their with a show to bring in much needed revenue.   She, along with hundreds of others, have set the tone for the Strand.   Enter the doors and you are family.

Cindy tried unsuccessfully to return her key to the theatre.   We want her to keep it in hopes that one day she will be back.

The Strand wished Cindy, Ron and Sarah the best of luck in the future!
