Shelby County Players will present "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940", by John Bishop and directed by Tiffany D. Wilson, at Shelby Community Theatre, 16 S. Tompkins St., Shelbyville, on May 9, 10, 14, 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. and May 18 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $14 at the door. The May 14 performance is a benefit for the Strand Theatre. This comedy is filled with exaggerated characters and exciting special effects. The creative team for a recent Broadway flop assembles at the spooky estate of a wealthy "angel" for a backer’s audition. The stage door slasher then appears, and bodies start to drop.
Tickets are also available at the Shelbyville Antique Mall at 117 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
