BRENT H. FUCHS – AUCTIONEER AU1044390
Platinum Seal Fine Arts Auction Group is the creation of Brent H. Fuchs, licensed auctioneer for twenty-eight years, who previously has specialized in estate, historic Indian artifacts, real estate, and antiques auctions. Brent has recently broadened his expertise into the classic car auction realm. He and his partners hosted a hugely successful Classic Car Auction at Indiana Downs with his company Indy Motor Car Auction Group in July of 2009. Brent has always had a love of fine art and desires to enhance his company’s exposure in the art world by presenting several fine arts auctions each year. He began researching the possibility of presenting art auctions a few years ago when colleagues requested his expertise in helping them consign their family art treasures to offer at auction. Brent resides in Shelbyville, Indiana. He has two grown daughters, Lindsey and Brittany, who are his business partners in Fuchs and Fuchs Indy Motor Car Auction Group.
Partner Carol Showers, is a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner by profession. The opportunity to delve into the auction world with Indy Motor Car Auction Group and Platinum Seal Fine Arts Auctions is a diverse addition to Carol’s part-time nursing career. Along with her new art venture, she feels fortunate to be able to spend some of her time in community volunteerism. Carol has always appreciated fine art and is excited to be working with auctioneer, Brent H. Fuchs. Her responsibilities with Platinum Seal Fine Arts Auctions include original art procurement, event planning, and art consignment.
J. R. Showers, a third partner, also has a keen appreciation of fine art, especially nautical collectibles and memorabilia. He is semi-retired and serves his county in the political arena in addition to being a nautical art collector. The business, legal, and financial side of the auction business are J. R.’s responsibilities. He and Carol have been married for 33 years, reside in Shelbyville, Indiana, and have two grown daughters, Bes Neal and Marti Showers. Both daughters, along with Bes’ husband Dan Neal, enjoy helping with the group’s auctions.
